Fitness can refer to a state of physical health, or it can refer to being in good shape as a result of diet and exercise. It also can apply to a sense of mental and physical health. In general, martial arts fitness can increase a person’s strength, stability, stamina, flexibility and power.
If you’re looking for a good work-out, or if you’re interested in weight loss, RMBJJ has a class for you. Jiu Jitsu is a great way to lose weight and get in shape because it is a whole-body work out which requires the use of all muscles of the body. Depending on your weight and the intensity you train, it’s very possible to burn 1000 calories per class!
It also is a great “mental” work out as well, and the sport of BJJ has been referred to as a “human chess game” because of this intellectual aspect.
